I’m half Taiwanese and half caucasian (polish/austrian). My rank is 15/about 900. For my essay i’d be writing about witnessing personally the manslaughter and death of my grandfather.

Hey Kevin! Your scores and grades are solid for most schools. I need a list, however, to judge.

You have unique EC’s, and I like that – a lot of volunteering and government involvement.

Are you sure that writing about a killing is a good idea? It seems like a very sensitive topic. Do more research about this.

an ivy? HYP are a toss up as always
But I bet you will get into the other ivies

My diagnosis:

1-2/5 for HYPSM
Likely admit at other ivies

took math today probably 780? ohopefuly

The Ivies will always be a stretch for everyone. But, on paper, you look like an ideal candidate. Regardless, it looks like you will be attending a fabulous school the fall after next.

Don’t focus too heavily on the Ivies alone. A lot of LACs and other top universities can also offer the same sort of liberal arts education that the Ivies all offer. I would recommend that you take a look at the University of Chicago.

ok thanks! definitely looking to columbia and upenn
