Greece is voting today and according to some media outlets that may rock the world’s economy and set off a domino effect that will send all of us into the poor house.

Anyone feel like we should be in bed with the covers pulled over our heads?

Greece’s victory over Russia in soccer yesterday was a much-needed glimmer of hope. Sometimes, when the world is crashing down around you, having something to cheer about is a help.

I totally agree with the person who posted above me that when things are not going right one positive effect gives alot of positive hope… The match was really awesome though :))

To paraphrase an editorial I read years ago while living in Caracas:

Look out your window, and if the city is not in flames, there is still hope.

I figure they’re going to solve the European debt crisis eventually, and when they do, the market will soar around 700 points in one day.

I’m waaaaaaaaaaiting . . . .

VH - I think there will be a lot of “sell on the news” dumping. I hope I’m wrong! :)

That will happen the following day, BB. Up 700 points, then down 100. All in all, a very big net gain.

Hope I’m right.

Sheesh, what are we supposed to do with this Greece/Europe constant bad news? As in, what can anyone really do in their everyday life? Yes, anyone who actually has control over their retirement/MF/IRA/401k money may have readjusted the focus, but what smart thing are we to do for day to day life?

I cannot imagine buying the hoarder food at Costco.com, but I wonder if we should all be approaching life in a more conservative way.
