<p>Is there an Energy Star inspector or microwave wattage cop on site when you move in? I bought a new fridge (under 5 CF) and a small microwave. Microwave is 800 watts and the fridge is not energy star rated. Is this really an issue?</p>

<p>I don’t get why everyone is making all these sarcastic jokes on a question that is legit. The housing page states that the appliances have to be energy star qualified or something like that, so it would make sense why this person is asking if there will be a person checking whether or not our appliances are energy star qualified.</p>

<p>… because there’s very little entertainment (for us, the wizened alums of ucsd/this forum) in stoically answering each question in full detail, especially when it’s been asked dozens of times previously. it could be much, much worse. if we shuttled all the questions here to SDUncensored, lots of little prefroshies would’ve burst into tears by now, figuratively speaking.</p>
