I am currently enrolled in that class with Professor Seng but I’m wondering if I should change it from letter grade to P/NP. There isn’t any grade distribution data anywhere, but Seng gives mostly B in his other class. Does anybody have any info regarding this class?

any know if Engineering 130AC fulfills series for CoE?

I don’t think it’ll be an easy A. He’s overall a nice guy, and actually he prefers not having to assign grades, and that students enroll P/NP. However, if you force him to assign you a grade, he’ll try to do it in as “fair” a way as possible, meaning he’s not going to be giving out all A’s at all.

To soulkamikaze: as long as you find another course that’s in the same department as e130ac and a lower div, then it will fulfill the series requirement. But are there any other
To mathboy98: so you mean that many people that do take this class enroll as P/NP anyways?

Thanks for your response, corona7w. what I was getting at was can you fulfill series with e130ac and an engineering course like E10.

Not that many enroll P/NP. Just that Seng seems to prefer it if they do, so he doesn’t have to assign grades separating different people’s performances. But he seems to really take it to heart that he has to when he does, and thus isn’t the so-to-speak lax humanities teacher who just hands out As if he likes your work overall. He tries, and I’ve heard people liked his class, but you know, he may for instance ask a less than crystal clear midterm question that he thinks is specific, and the rest of everyone may believe to be vague.

To soulkamikaze: e10 isn’t even on the humanities and social studies list. Refer to the entire list here:

damn. ur right. meh, wasn’t planning to take it anyway.
it’s a bit early to decide if u wanna take it p/np. why don’t u wait till the deadline and see how it goes?
