Hi! I am interested in some smaller liberal arts colleges, which I would then have to transfer out of after my junior year to continue to study engineering. I was hoping to hear from others that experienced this same issue and the pros and cons. Thanks

From what I’ve heard almost nobody completes these programs. For one thing, the rate of switching out of engineering for those entering college with that major is from 1/3 to 1/2. Second, you get settled in to a college and during the 3rd year people realize they go 1 more year to a college they like with friends and profs they know and they get a degree, or they could transfer to a new school and start from ground zero in making friends and learning their way around and they have to spend 2 years there. I think a lot of people reach that point and change their mind about transferring.
