Engineering Orientation

Everyone who’s a new engineering student should be sure to come to orientation events this fall. It’s a really great chance to meet other freshman and some really cool upperclassmen. There are lots of fun things, such as a scavenger hunt, a water ballon launching contest, and a limbo party. There’s also a major-minor fair where you can learn more about the different types of engineering and a BBQ where you can eat burgers cooked by the deans.

It’s all a ton of fun and makes the new college world easier to get into. I met my best friends (and this year’s roommates) there last year. Also you’ll get to meet people that will be in your classes (study buddies!).

And I highly recommend you go to EnQuest! It’s a scavenger hunt through the engineering buildings. You can win prizes, learn to find important places in the engineering school, eat ice cream, and tie-dye t-shirts!! My friend and I are running it this year and it’s going to be a great time!
