Engineering Route - Does the class order matter?

Besides the prerequisites necessary to take an advanced required class, is there really a recommended “sequence” to take? I’m going to be a sophomore bioE this fall, and I finished half my math requirement (up to 1920), got phys mechanics (1112) out of the way, a year of bio, plus some of the liberal arts requirement. I’m aware of what classes I need to take to fulfill graduation requirements, but as I asked, does it matter when I take them? i.e, should I get liberal arts requirements out of the way first, or tackle the core requirements? I’m interested in doing a co-op next year and wondered if I should take any specific classes prior to it to help me prepare for that work setting.

I would recommend that rather than asking random people, ask your assigned advisor or departmental advisor. They would be able to provide a better answer.

Class order does matter. More advanced classes would have prerequisites, and not all classes are offered every semester. So, better plan things out!
