are engineering students at a disadvantage when applying to med school? they tend to have very rigorous classes (like others) but they average GPA for engineering is below that of liberal arts college students. so is there some kinda of like “leniency” for admission into med school or do they just compare liberal arts students’ gpa to engineering students’ gpa as is?

if u do well in engineering it’s a huge advantage but if you do poorly it’ll be a disadvantage. people have speculated that engineering GPAs get a “boost” …but of course every med school has its own bias
