Engineering, the new Law?

We went to a sort of reunion the other night, and a number of kids said they are doing engineering, various types, while only one, my girl, said poltical science and law, and social justice

seems engineering is the new hip major, and I really wonder how many will actually last in the programs

some of those kids haven’t a prayer

Haha, no doubt.

Engineering continues to become more popular. However you’re right, some will find out that it is not for them! That’s when they find out they should have followed their passion to begin with, and not what happens to be popular at the time :)

Actually, engineering are needed in every field. Germany recruits engineers from all over the world, they don’t “produce” enough of them at home. Engineers, physicist and mathematician find easily good jobs in highly recognized firms doing risk management and they are very well paid. I think many kids are tempted for those careers that could accommodate in more than one field; others find it exceedingly hard work and difficult subjects to take a chance (my D is one of the later).

I agree that there is high demand for engineering. Though they definitely aren’t cake majors.
