Engineering vs Natural Sciences

I’m not sure whether I want to major in mechanical engineering or applied mathematics. I’m leaning towards math, though. For most of my schools, I have been applying to whichever school is easier to get into (generally the schools of natural sciences, although at Cornell engineering is easier). Anyway, which is easier to get into at Rice?

Oh, and I’m applying as a freshman

I don’t think there’s a school that’s “easier” to get into… Anyway, I feel like MechE and applied mathematics are both in the school of engineering because there’s a CAAM major (computational and applied mathematics) in the school of engineering. So you might as well apply there. However, once you go here it is very easy to change majors/schools.

thank you!
