Engineers....

How demanding is the program, and how is the job recruitment?

-also, do you know know if there is a business/engineering combined program of any source?

Im not sure about the eng/bus. combined program, but I know that the engineering at Penn State is seen as top notch by a plethora of companies. Many recruit at the career fair and there are lots of info. sessions thruout the semester.
from my exp. Companies seem to love PSU Engineering ;).

Can I attend a career fair as a freshman just to see what it feels like?

Sure - here is one of the FAQs from Fall Career days - it says any student may attend. There is one each spring too:

Thanks for the site. It was very helpful.

lol yes you definately can…I got an internship from the career fair and im a freshman ;).

They accept freshmans? You must have a really impressive resume.

Well i had some programming experience already (I went to a technical school) and I also had a good GPA (I did a summer program called PREF) and I struck up a good conversation. If you can go up to them and talk professionally and be memorable in a good way, theyll love you ;).
