<p>I’m looking for universities that can provide really good preparation for a top notch medical school, as well as having a great English department (particularly in literature rather than Creative Writing, although that is important too).</p>
<p>Some places I’ve thought of already are Duke, Johns Hopkins. etc.</p>
<p>I don’t mind competing with other students for professors attention (although not having to do this as much is definitely an incentive), or having to work hard. In other words, I’m not all that into going to a college just because it has high grade inflation and thus will make my GPA higher when applying to medical school.</p>
<p>I want to go to a great med school, but also learn a lot in the process.</p>
