Has anyone been accepted through UC Davis Tag with non-uc english composition courses?
For extra context, i took Engl 1a and engl 2at sjsu
There are no articulation agreements between the CSU’s and UC’s. You need to use assist.org as a go between and see if similar classes as described by the SJSU syllabi can be found at a local CC and are then transferable to UC Davis.
You might also want to contact UC Davis admissions since they are probably familiar with CSU to UC Transfers.
My first year was at sjsu, I’m now applying from a cc.
My main concern was how eng comp courses will be evaluated when TAGged to davis if they dont have syllabi, notes which they’ll ask much later for course transferability.
So until mid-nov will they just deny my tag because they dont have that course information/ move me to regular transfer decision?
Based on the SJSU course descriptions for these English courses, they should be accepted at UC Davis.
As stated, you can contact UC Davis admissions and also look at assist.org to determine if they are similar to the required English composition courses needed for TAG but since the deadline has now passed for the TAG application submission, you will find out soon enough.
I would imagine that the courses can be easily looked up in the SJSU catalog and admissions probably has had experience with CSU classes to know which courses are transferable.
