<p>Hi! I moved to USA about 6 years ago in 5th grade and I learned the language just by sound. I do not know any English language rules or I forgot if they taught me in ELL. I was wondering where I can find such things. Also I was wondering if there is a list of recommended books that I can refer to when writing essays and also learn new words from. I do like well developed lengthly books.</p>

<p>Also I heard about impact of latin and greek on english so I was wondering where I could get some knowledge about latin and greek.</p>

<p>I do have the blue book and gruber’s 2008.</p>

<p>The best way is, obviously, to take a Latin or Greek class. If that isn’t possible, find a textbook and start reading. For Latin, I recommend Wheelock’s. Latin is also quite useful with vocab.</p>

<p>For a wonderful, yet slender book about grammar, usage, and style, there’s nothing better than Strunk and White’s “Elements of Style.” If you want a more comprehensive book, “Garner’s Modern American Usage” is excellent.</p>
