English question help!

<p>Which one of these is correct:</p>

<p>I like Silas’s dog.</p>

<p>I like Silas’ dog.</p>

<p>Name: Silas (singular)</p>

<p>I’ve seen both of these in the Barrons book and they both say they’re correct. (One in Barrons 36, one in the workbook).</p>

<p>both are correct i believe… i doubt that ACT would pull something like that on us…they wouldn’t put both of those in the answer choice…at least i hope not!</p>

<p>The second one is right. Just think of how you would say it. The first one sounds completely wrong. Nobody would every say Silasis which is what it would sound like.</p>

<p>And with the independent ACT groups, you can expect some errors here and there sometimes. But the 2nd one is correct.</p>
