<p>What are good writing competitions to enter if you’re interested in English, especially creative writing? I know of the Scholastic Art and Writing competitions. Are there others I should be aware of? And if you didn’t enter any junior year, is it acceptable to enter them senior year and then report results/awards to colleges after you’ve applied?</p>
<p>Also, what are some magazines/papers that accept submissions from students or non-established writers? I know the New Yorker accepts submissions from anyone, but the chances of being published there is obviously slim!</p>
