What types of english classes can I take to fulfill the english requirement.
I’m planning to take a year of humanities (literature/writing based, but not specifically stated as a composition class)…Humanities is like the “english” program for us.

To be safe, take 2 courses offered by the English department.

That’s the thing. There is no english department here at UCSD. Each individual college in our school has their own humanities “writing” sequence.

So, you can’t major in English at UCSD?

Edit: It appears UCSD has a Literature Department. You’ll want to take courses from the “Literatures in English” major.

Those humanities courses in SD have both literature and writing. Therefore, they should count as english…right?
