So abortion, politics and life-threatening illnesses aside. Ladies, what do you all think of People’s choice of Matt Damon as the sexiest man alive this year? I am so not seeing it.

I think he’s pretty hot…But the sexiest man alive?..Nah!

Nope, no way

I think he is very plain.

I think the guy who plays House is seriously hot. I would have chosen him.

I admit I think he’s sexy, because he’s a Harvard man. (Another reason to go to Harvard - instant sex appeal :))…sorry…

It’s really funny that both the House guy and Matt Damon are in this same thread. I like the guy who plays House (or maybe it’s just the House character?). But I like Matt because he looks like/reminds me of my son, a lot. But my other son reminds me of the House guy (about 20 years older). So I give my vote to either.

No way…I know it’s been done many times before, but Matthew McConaughey does make my knees a little weak.

Matt Damon is very white bread to me. Kinda pasty and squishy and very bland.

Matthew MacConaughey-definitely a hottie, and he’s a surfer which makes him a double hottie.

Agree about Matthew Mcconaughey, I thought he is a hottie 12 years ago and he still is.

The House guy wins excuse the phrase hands down. And with his normal accent even more so. Matt Damon is okay but no knock out by any means. Vigo Morgenstern (name?) also ranks up there.

no way on matt damon…you’ve all said it…plain, pasty, boring. NOW LET’S TAKE HUGH LAURIE…PLEASE!!! ( sort of tried a Rodney Dangerfield!) and when i realized he really doesn’t sound like House, i was more “in love” with his incredible talent! a family member told me he, as a youngin’ starred in a Masterpiece Theater! that’s HOT ( sorry harvard).

Clive Owen…now there’s a sexy man. Matt Damon reminds me of someone’s little brother…lol!

(Agree…Viggo Mortenson is not too shabby either…)

That’s just so weird. Look at this picture. Matt Damon ick! That other guy [url=<a href=“The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) - Photo Gallery - IMDb”>The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) - Photo Gallery - IMDb]The Talented Mr. Ripley Photos/url yum!

Though I think the last guy to make me swoon was Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain.

Viggo is nice eye candy.

I’ve always thought Matt Damon was a cutie ever since Good Will Hunting. My suburban high school used to compete against CR&L (where Matt and Ben went). All of the girls on my team were strangely fascinated with the “tough” guys of CR&L vs the boring boys of our own high school.

sex appeal has everything to do with not only personality, but the personality of the BEHOLDER! i think our choices on this thread can tell us a lot about ourselves!
as an example…i’ve never liked Brad Pitt blonde and BORING!

My last swoon was Clive in King Arthur. What is it about a man in armour anyway? ;)

http://caridad.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/clive.jpg

agree happycollegemom - Brad Pitt just never seemed very ‘manly’ or even very talented to me. I’ll never figure out the big fascination with that guy.

Hugh Laurie has my vote…Matt Damon? Please…he’s just a child…I want a real man, preferably with a British accent (Clive you can step up too!). Jamie Cullum (Brit. jazz/standards singer pianist gets a big vote from me too…rrrowl!

does anyone have a contact with People Magazine? i’m serious! they should see this thread!!!
