Just a question: did any of you freshmen enroll in classes on the OPUS network? I’ve heard that we can only enroll in classes and make our schedule during Orientation, but I was just wondering if anyone did it yet.

Incoming freshmen are assigned 2 specific time slots (based number of incoming credit hours, those with more hrs get the earlier times) when they can enroll, and they’re during Orientation week. Just makes sure you don’t miss your assigned time slot, even by like 30 seconds because classes tend to fill up FAST.

So, when does one get their appointment time? I really don’t want to miss it during Orientation…do we get it through our email?

Check opus.

Don’t worry about your enrollment times yet. You will meet with your PACE student adviser and then your faculty adviser to discuss everything you want to know about enrolling for classes. I don’t even think you can enroll in any classes without the faculty adviser’s permission, so just wait until orientation.

Actually, for most classes you can simply enroll during your registration time w/o any permission. Only a select few classes actually require a permission number from a faculty to enroll, and note the permission number can only be used once (so if you drop the class don’t plan on re-enrolling in it unless you can convince the prof. to give you a 2nd permission number).
