Entrance Exam-AP Spanish

As a junior in Neuqua Valley High School I am currently taking Spanish III. I am doing pretty well and I want to be able to take the AP next year. The only problem is that there is an entrance exam for it. Many people don’t pass because there are new comcepts on the test that we don’t learn in prior classes. I don’t know how to prepare for these new topics because no one knows what exactly they are, and I am willing to self learn these (or get a tutor). It there anyone in the CC community who has taken a simlar test in their school and wants to enlighten me on what topics might be covered on a test like this. Thanks :D

Is this exam written, aural, or a combination of both? In all likelihood, this entrance exam is a dumbed-down version of the AP test used by the school to ensure that students already have a solid foundation in the target language [so that the students who pass and take AP score well]. The AP test assumes knowledge of all tenses, so I’d say your entrance exam will probably cover tenses. I would also expect a written response question, oral responses, or both.

What I’ve said is nothing more than a guesstimate. Ask your Spanish teacher how best to prepare for the exam, or even better, ask the teacher/s who administer the entrance exactly what is necessary to pass and how you can prepare. I’m sure they will help you out.
