Environmental Engineering Admits & Rejects

Even though there’s another thread going on for fall 2009 admits, this one is for specifically environmental engineering admits and rejects…there are not a lot of people out there applying in this field…so lets share our admits and rejects here

I got admits for MS in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech and Penn State. No word about funding from both of these. Got rejects from Princeton, University of Michigan Ann Arbor & University of Wisconsin Madison. Anyone else out there?

I am also an Environmental Engineering MS applicant.

I have been accepted to UT Austin, U Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Virginia Tech. I am still wait a response from MIT.

ankitvj5: I am doing my undergrad at Virginia Tech and it is such a great place to go to school. The faculty are top notch. Also, I have been told that Tech tries to fund 100% of their graduate students in Environmental Engineering to avoid creating a class system of the haves vs. have nots. Therefore, there is a good chance you will recieve some sort of funding. If you have any questions about VT feel free to message me.

hey I applied to JHU, Yale, UVa, CMU, Tufts, FSU and Brown and havent heard anything ugh! Have any of you guys!!

Thnx!

@canty2: Congrats for your admit from UT Austin, UIUC & Virginia Tech and thanks for the info about Virginia Tech. Btw did u get any funding from Virginia Tech in your admissions letter? I am also waiting for my results from UIUC, UT Austin & MIT. Could you let me know the dates when you got your admission results from the above universities? And do you think writing emails to professors at Virginia Tech for RA positions might help?

@Shea…: Sry about that…your nick is just too long for me to grasp correctly  & Best of luck for your admission results. Although I applied to some 13 universities, unfortunately I didn’t apply to any of those so can’t help you out there. I know a friend at JHU in Biomed so if you need any other help there, let me know.
