<p>How is EPGY? How rigorous is the program? How helpful is it in college apps (does it help in selective college apps)? How easy is it to get in? Is it worth the cost?</p>

My friend and I both applied, hoping to get in and go together.
My counselor told me the app was just to weed out the less qualified…
Which wasnt true, both my friend and I are top 5% in our class and have 3.8s or so and he got accepted and I didnt.
It is not extremely helpful in college apps and will NEVER be a deciding factor.
He said it wasnt too rigorous, and very worth it.</p>
<p>Agree with FP9, if you want to have a summer program that looks good on your app, refer to the other thread! Apply to TASP,RSI etc
EPGY is not accepting everyone but of course it’s not that selective, I heard the professors there said they look at the apps without concerning the applicant’s first choice. If a humanity professor thinks someone who wants creative writing is the one who’s looking for then the person is accepted! but in the topic of humanity.</p>
