Equestrian Universities Abroad?

Hello all,
I’m looking into going overseas for university, and I am an avid equestrian that would like to participate in an equestrian program or team during my schooling.
I have a 4.2 weighted GPA and a 29 on my ACT currently, and am willing to take more tests if need be.
Obviously, school abroad is expensive, so any universities/colleges that offer financial aid or scholarships would be best, but I’m looking into anything at this point.
if anyone knows of anything, your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There really aren’t going to be scholarships avaliable to foreign students. Schools abroad are typically public universities who’s duty is to serve students from that country. As far as I know there aren’t any “need blind and meets full need” schools abroad- that’s an American concept. The good news is that these schools, unless you are low-income, are likely to be inherently cheaper than private U.S. or OOS publics . However, know that they are usually much larger schools where you probably won’t receive as much individual attention as you would in the U.S.

Is there a particular reason why you want to go to a foreign school? It may seem interesting now but it can make job prospects more difficult to find down the road.

I would suggest you start by looking at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. It’s relatively inexpensive and a friend of mine is on their equestrian team.

How do you feel about Germany?

I am not sure if most overseas Universities have as many ECs as US colleges.
