So I know a guy who writes erotica in his free time. He’s quite popular and has gotten like 15k+ views every single story. Should he put that in his college application or leave that out… It’s kind of an awkward subject but he’s passionate about it.
Perhaps put it there but emphasize the writing and dedication that went into it rather than the actual content itself?
I mean this definitely makes him stand out… He’s really into creative writing. Wouldn’t this be considered crude and inappropriate? I mean I read some of his work and it’s pretty damn good.
How does that make them want to admit him?
So do lurid accounts about ax murders.
I vote NO.
I would definitely recommend against reporting this in his applications.
Since you are not certain how the admissions committee would view that particular EC I also would leave it out.
I would definitely leave it out. You don’t want to put anything in an app that could offend someone- always better to be on the safe side.
If they are really dedicated to it then they could call it “creative writing”. Just try to be somewhat vague and not disclose what the content of that writing actually is.
Judging from your username…I suspect someone…
But I think it’s best to leave it out, instead focus on the medium “He runs a popular blog where he posts his well received stories”
Call it 'creative writing blog , up to 15k readers for some stories " and leave it at that.
