"Error getting data." Please help!

When I accessed my admission status at CMU’s website I received the following notification:

Error getting data

What is happening? Does this mean I’m rejected? :(

same problem
has been like this ever since jan,
mailed the admission office and got nowhere

I don’t think it has anything to do with your rejection or acceptance, don’t worry!
There is probably a problem with the server. Just call the office to get it fixed!

I used to have same problem and then it works again…
don’t worry about it…maybe try with different computer? :]

Make sure that you are entering in everything correctly… especially your birthdate. My son put his in wrong (I think with 2 digits for the year instead of 4) and got the same message as you.

He thought (logically, IMO) that he had entered everything correctly since the message didn’t seem to imply that he had entered something wrong… it recognized him… repeated his name and b-day on the screen. But after getting the message for a couple of days, he somehow noticed the instructions about digits, and entered correctly, and it worked.

Just to confirm, he did try entering again with the incorrect number of digits and got the same error message.

He’s been accepted ED, so I no longer recall how to get to that page to check it out again.

Hope that works for you.

yeah i got the same message
then realized i got one digit in my applicant ID wrong.
its not an actual error youre getting
merely a typing answer
