Error in Official College Board book?

Hi! I am a loooong (like, 6 years) lurker, first time poster.

I teach SAT prep for a big national company and one of my students came to me with the official College Board book with a question. On p. 250 and 251 there is a scatterplot and questions about raspberries. The units of the x axis is price per pint, and the y axis is # of pints.

A bullet point on p. 251 reads “if the store gave raspberries away, 173 people would buy them”. However, the equation of the best fit line is 233 - 32x (meaning the y-intercept is 233, not 173 like the statement implies) and the y axis’ units are number of pints, not people!!

My question is: have other people noticed this? Is there a list of known errata for this dang book?
Thank you!

@VolvoPug16 Yes it’s an error. It should read something like,

“…if the store gave raspberries away, 233 pints would be expected to be sold.”

The current wording makes the faulty assumption that each person buys exactly one pint, on average.

Not sure if there is an errata list.

That is my thought too on what it should read…I’m just curious if other people have the same error printed in their book! I’m doubly reassured though and I’ll go back and tell her it really is a typo. Thanks!
