Or few drinks.
Because they want their pet with them at all times, including the destination theyāre traveling toāthey are entitled and want things to be the way they want it.
If I saw and ESA duck in a diaper and shoes Iād wonder how many drinks Iād had!
Legit ESAs are not just for airline travel
anxiety. The person could have some other condition that is greatly alleviated by having the ESA around, so it would be difficult to leave them behind.
Can we just go back to the way it used to be? No ESAs, just service animals allowed on the planes. How many more incidents do we need?
I think all animals should be crated, except for trained service animals.
Iām sorry most of folks flying donāt have really need an ESA they are either too cheap, or few entitled. If you have a condition such as PTSD then there are dogs that can be trained and classified as service animals so that they are well behaved. Any other legitimate condition requires a SERVICE animal. Iām tired of seeing pets everywhere and yes I am a loving owner of the worlds cutest dog IMO.
I am all for real service dogs. ESA animals are a crock in my opinion and it infringes on my right to breathe.
We could go back to ājust service animalsā if federal law is changed. The airlines are taking a risk by putting restrictions on ESAs, but it does seem they needed to do it and they are big and wealthy enough to fight any lawsuits. Many of the smaller businesses like apartment buildings canāt, so just let the ESAās in.
I canāt help but think who is looking out for the animalsā best interests? Iām sure most of these animals find airplane travel stressful and would rather be at home.
I wonder if the airlines will start restricting āservice animals in trainingā on their flights. Sometimes they board with up to three dogs.
Service animals, even those in training, are under a different law.
Why canāt the airlines mandate that ESAs must wear a muzzle at the very least?
How would you muzzle a duck???
Great @twoinanddone ! Can you expand upon your knowledge of service dogs in training and the laws?
Daniel is clearly a remarkable duck and an exception to any and all restrictions.
Also, his person is thoughtful and responsible. She makes sure he showers and is not smelly when he goes out in public. He wears (impossibly cute) shoes to protect his feet. He wears a diaper. He enjoys the experience. He is charming and well-behaved, and doesnāt bother anyone. She is taking steps to make sure that Daniel, as well as his traveling companions, are happy.
I am in love with Daniel. :x
I happened to chat with. someone who works for AA. While she is not aware that they have yet finalized their ESA rules, Daniel Duckās traveling days on AA may be numberedā¦
Not just any diaper, @Consolation. Captain America diapers!
āHow would you muzzle a duck???ā
Thatās the ownerās problem. Not mine. Ever been nipped by a duck?
@gouf78 birds kind of freak me out, they are fine at a distance but if they get too close Iām afraid they will try to peck my eyes out! That duck should have been in a crate.
