Essay about a war

I’m in a state of war - with the chief of the choir I used to sing with and with a few members of it. It’s not time to elaborate about the circumstances, I just refused to take part in one event because my friend had invited me to his 18th birthday party. I just thought that if I had been on every call for three years, I could skip a concert just once, especially in such situation. The choir didn’t understand it and an argument broke up, and as we couldn’t make it up, I quit.

I know that doesn’t make a good topic for an essay (it’s an indication of lack of interpersonal skills and suggests I’ve given up a valuable extracurricular). But the assignment on the supplement to one college asks me to “tell about an experience in which I left my comfort zone”. I think I did leave it, because I took the risk of defending my convictions.

Do you think it would be good to write about it?

If you talk about how much you still love choir and how you’d do anything to get it back, that could counter. JUST MY THOUGHTS!

Do you think mentioning how much the choir gave me and how much I contributed to the community would be good in these circumstances? Your point is cool, it might be helpful while shifting the reader’s attention from the bad sides of the situation, that is the argument.

Yeah, and I think if it’s done right, your essay could be really awesome.
