Essay about Britney Spears

I know what you are thinking about no not like that.
I wanted to write about how she influenced me as a young girl, how she was the perfect All-American girl, etc.
Do you think it’s a cheesy topic to write for the “most influential person” that significantly influenced me?
I don’t want to write about my parents or my teacher bc the rest of the applicants already did so (plus it’s boring).
Any thoughts?

Given how controversial she is right now I would say that it is quite risky to write about someone who everyone has an opinion on! That is my personal opinion as an adult, perhaps younger people might see it differenently Unless you put a spin on it ,and start it by something like…be careful what you wish for, and go on to say how you idolized her, wanted to be like her etc…and go on to talk about how that has changed, etc…it is one cannot argue, very honest and that deserves some credit, I guess it highly depnds on the “delivery” of your essay, sure there are lots of people here who can offer good insight. Good luck to you.

thanks.
I know it’s quite risky but I don’t want to bore the admission officers.
When I was growing up in another country, I grew up listening to her, and idolizing her, etc and thought she was the perfect all american girl. i want to be just like her. but recently, of what she had done, it made me change my Disney perspective of the world. and i guess you can say that I’m more pessimistic, but i can also became a realist.

If you were truly influenced by her, then go right ahead. It will jump out of the crowd. Just don’t condone her recent actions.
