<p>Why does everyone think they write a “Great Essay” when in all honestly most peoples aren’t that good?</p>

<p>Well, if they said they wrote a bad essay people would latch onto that and say “well, write a good one” instead of saying anything useful. Probably the great essay is something they hope will happen in the future…people make chances threads with all kinds of “prospective” stats.
More generally, people almost always think they’re better writers than they are. (Why would someone write down a sentence they thought was bad?)</p>
