Essay blues?

So, for three weeks I thought I had THE topic, THE essay, and I was like.."Yessssss."

And then last night, at say, oh, 11:30 or so, I realized I hated my essay and it was superficial and unrepresentational and completely scrapped the entire thing.

Oiya.

Anyone else fretting and working for last minute changes on their essays? And not even changes but completely topic change?

I think I need to start a support group. There's so much I want to communicate but I don't want to do myself an injustice by not fairly taking the pen to the paper.

I know the feeling. I sat at my computer for three consecutive days during fall break--and wrote a single paragraph.

I'm not quite finished with all my essays. I actually haven't even started Essay One--but I have a pretty good outline and a good idea of what I want to do (I'm actually about to start it now). I'm going to feel a lot better once I get the app out the door and on its way to DC in the next couple of days.

Hey manderz...i feel your oiya. For my essay one, i think it's good, but I'm not quite sure it's totally me. I'm sticking with it though, because my essay 2 is really good. If you have another essay that can still sound unsuperficial and more representational, I don't know if you have to scrap an entire essay. Good luck.

Let's see... I haven't written either essay yet, and I haven't outlined. That will all be tomorrow. Then again, I'm the kind of person that can sit down and pop out a good essay pretty quickly (normally, anyways). Hopefully that will happen tomorrow. When are you last-minute-applicants sending out your stuff to get it postmarked by Nov 1?

I think it has to be there Nov. 1--not postparked. If so, I'm going to try to have mine sent out Monday (Tuesday at the very latest).

Thank God for Express Mail!

You bet :)
