essay confusion [no reader request]

for the long essay, do we have to write a conclusion. im really confused.
i felt like it was writing a story that shows who we are instead of writing something and then telling who we are.
are we supposed to draw a conclusion when we’re done with this essay?

wow, this is probably the dumbest question. but, really, i need the answer lol.

Well, every piece of writing usually has some form of conclusion whether it’s directly or indirectly a conclusion.

You can’t end a story with like “I went to the theater and sat on the seat.”

You don’t need a concluding paragraph that sums up what has been said. You’ll probably do better to just end with something that concludes the action/movement of the piece, not restates it.

i concluded the action/movement i just didnt say something like, ‘and this taught me to be a happier person and never talk to clowns and it shows how i am funny and tall and sometimes evil.’
