<p>Hi parents! I’m a rising senior, and in the process of writing my college essays. I’ve PM’ed a few people from the College Essays forum about my essays (namely my personal statement and activities short answer), but I’ve been a bit wary of the forum, since I’ve had a bit of a bad experience with essay plagiarism at school. I figured having parents review, edit and critique my essays would be the safest thing. </p>

<p>I know where you’re coming from. I’m a grad student at University of Michigan and also had some bad encounters with plagiarism after lending a couple friends my essay to critique. However, I do believe it is important to receive a third party’s opinion on your essay (namely other than relative) in order to receive unbiased feedback. If you would wish, I would certainly be able to critique your essay.</p>
