In the past, my ACT and SAT essays had been abysmal, but this time I was a little more flexible with the structure, and my examples were beautiful and–Time’s up!

Anyway, I got cut off in the middle of writing the last sentence of my conclusion (I was stupidly expecting a one minute warning). Will this affect my score, and, if so, by how much?

Yes ,instead of meriting a 12 essay, you will get an 8 because you didn’t finish one sentence. of course not, facepalm,it’s graded hollistically; remember that.

I’m pretty sure the graders don’t consider the sentence if it was obviously cut off due to time.

I don’t think your score should be affected too much. If you managed to formulate a good argument and provide a thesis statement towards the beginning (that was clear and to the point), then you will probably get a good score. Everyone acknowledges that sometimes, 25 minutes for a good essay is not enough for test takers.
