So, on one of the 140 character essays, my essay was 144 characters and I didn’t even notice until I had submitted it! It’s this a big deal, or should I not be worried?

Also, I’ve already emailed admissions one new version of my essays (yay formatting errors), so I don’t really think I can send them another version without coming off as incredibly annoying. Should I just let it go and not worry too much about my essay that’s 4 characters too long?

Sorry if I’m coming off as a bit of a worrywart, but I really want to make sure that I’m my mistake won’t kill my application (or my chances at scholarships).

They are not going to turn you down for scholarships or anything else because of it. I wouldn’t email admissions about it. My application had a similar small error and I really don’t think it affects anything. I wouldn’t worry about it, I’m sure everything will be fine. If your really concerned, I guess you could email oafa@pitt.edu because they always have admissions counselors available to help.
