What literature/historical/etc examples would you use?

<p>Independence - This is really broad. Maybe India’s struggle for emancipation? How Gandhi’s policy of non-violence eventually helped the country.</p>
<p>Honesty - Watergate, how Nixon’s cover-ups just led to the situation’s deterioration.</p>
<p>Education - Again, really broad. For something like academic freedom, the teaching of intelligent design for science?</p>
<p>PS. I’m international lol so my thinking might be a little unorthodox.</p>

<p>Well, it depends WHAT about these virtues/values?</p>
<p>-for Independence, you can probably use Herman Hesse’s Siddhartha…</p>
<p>Honesty - Umm, you can use Hawthorne’s Scarlet Letter, the Great Gatsby, Huck Finn</p>
<p>Education - Kind of hard to come up with a literature example… and I’m stumped on historical examples… so</p>
