SCEA doesn’t mean that Harvard doesn’t defer from the early round to the regular round. It also leaves open the possibility of an applicant applying for an ED2 or EA2 college (a college with an application deadline and notification date after “early” but before “regular”) after hearing Harvard’s SCEA result. The timing involved in today’s additions to the thread suggest that an EA2 college is involved here–but “just as prestigious” as Harvard is still inexplicable. ;)

Haha, I knew I’d confuse people on here, since you all are soooo familiar w/the admissions process. I hoped the “hypothetical” part would help… but maybe I should have said “imaginary.”

But anyways, some international schools let all applicants know their decisions at Harvard’s EA time. Yep, my discrete situation attempt definitely failed… =)

oxford!
or IIT! =p

What is Oxford’s usually schedule for notifying applicants? I know one American who was admitted on the most recent occasion, an American who lives in Britain.

I thought you weren’t allowed to send rewritten/additional essays? Or can we send in edited versions of essays again?

Eh… I’m confused. :(

hey, I want to read it…send it to me.
