I took the January 2007 test, and got an 8 on my essay (a little shocking since in practice, my tutor gave me 11’s and 12’s). Nonetheless, it is not a horrible score by any means, but when the essay was posted online, it was incredibly difficult to read for me. I was wondering, do the graders see the same exact image I am seeing, or do they get the actual hard copy? If they do get the online image, would it possibly be worth it to get my essay hand-scored or something, and then they can re-read my essay??? I have a feeling that I would have scored better if my essay didnt look like it was missing 2 or 3 words out of every sentence.

In Princeton Review’s “11 Practice Tests” it says that the scorers go online to read the essays at their home computer. I don’t know the answers to any of your other questions…

Yes, they see an image. Whether it is of the same quality as the essay image you saw, I don’t know.

Does anybody know if I can possibly get my essay re-scored or something? If so, how much does it cost/ how do you sign up for it. Also, if they grade it lower, which score do you get?
