Essay: Making Up For Past Mistakes

<p>Is this true? Can a spectacular, creative, mind-blowing essay really make up for a lousy gpa (3.5 w) and SAT score (1770) in applying to UC’s?</p>

<p>Major: English.</p>

<p>What UC’s in the past have bought into that? Which UC’s would accept someone like that over others?</p>

<p>Also, would appealing with a good ACT score help (30)?</p>

<p>If you get a 30 on the ACT they’ll take that over your SAT scores… remember SAT scores aren’t everything. If you took challenging classes and received that GPA that’s alright…</p>
