Essay on Evolution?

For Stanford’s supplement on intellectual vitality, I was thinking about writing about my experiences in biology. One of the things that I thought was really interesting was Darwin and his theory of evolution, and I want to discuss that in my essay, as it truly made me rethink my view of biology class and biology in general. However, I know that it’s risky to discuss controversial issues like religion and politics, and this talk about evolution sort of borders on religion.

I’m not going to attack Christianity or anything in my essay, but I’d like to know if it would still be risky if I explained how this overarching theme of evolution was a huge mindblow.

Any ideas?

Considering that evolution is fact and is a legitimate theory I don’t see why the topic would be inappropriate! I’m sure admissions would appreciate a unique essay on evolution. Good luck!

Well since evolution is completely made up, it would be kinda strange to explain how you got sucked into a lie. It doesn’t show individual though! Good luck!

Rather than writing that you are interested in something, write about something you did.

Just being interested in something is passive. It’s like saying I’m interested in watching Game of Thrones.
