For Stanford’s supplement on intellectual vitality, I was thinking about writing about my experiences in biology. One of the things that I thought was really interesting was Darwin and his theory of evolution, and I want to discuss that in my essay, as it truly made me rethink my view of biology class and biology in general. However, I know that it’s risky to discuss controversial issues like religion and politics, and this talk about evolution sort of borders on religion.

I’m not going to attack Christianity or anything in my essay, but I’d like to know if it would still be risky if I explained how this overarching theme of evolution was a huge mindblow.

Any ideas?
