I’ve written a very personal and to me, depressing, essay.

I wonder whether this tone is at all appropriate for the CommonApp essay, and whether the reader will be touched or simply bored.

I’ll PM anyone who wants to read, but it really is rough and I just finished it a few minutes ago, and reading through it again I really don’t know how I could touch it up anymore, although I realize it is by far from being mistake-free.

I don’t know whether by writing about Callas I have revealed much of myself or not, or whether this would be a sure REJECT stamp onto my application?

I’ll give it a read if you like. I’m not experienced at all in assessing personal essays (currently in the process of writing mine) but if what you need is someone to pick out grammar errors then I’m your man.

Oh I have really no problem with grammars, what I"m worried about is the content of my essay, it is very personal and… degrading? I don’t know how to express it, basically it isn’t like a CommonApp essay, and I doubt it’d actually work :P
