<p>I had a teacher that once said that the SAT essay is more important than the actual college essay. She said that you could start writing the college essay anytime you wanted, but the SAT essay is a 25 minute timed essay so is more reflective of your abilities…If she being completely ridiculous?</p>

<p>I personally think the actual admissions essay is more important, and that she is completely misinformed…What do you guys think.?</p>

<p>You’re right, she’s wrong. The SAT is a terrible measure of how you think critically and is mostly used as a venue for high school students to misuse SAT words they’ve learned. College essays, now… college essays give you the chance to actually think of your own accomplishments, how to convey them in the best and most honest way… and what’s better than that?</p>
