<p>Some people have been telling me I have the same exact interests as thousands of other applicants to Ivies. I thought it’d be wise to write an essay that portrays me better as an individual with unique experiences, or as unique as can be with nagging Asian parents that will not quit until the day I get my acceptances <em>hopeful</em></p>
<p>So I wrote an essay on Moby Dick’s Captain Ahab and how I used to see him in such a simple-minded way, pursuing after a supposed evil, and how I wanted to achieve something just as spectacular and unbelievable. Then I talked about how my views on life, as cliche as it seems, has changed gradually. Also TRIED to show my interest in research.</p>
<p>It’s about 650 words, which is over the 500 limit for the commons app. If anyone wants to read and review my attempt at self-expression, just post here and I’ll pm you.</p>
