<p>Well if the sole point of your essay is to indicate to them your financial situation…don’t do it. Just have your counselor indicate that to them on his/her counselor recommendation. That’s more official and credible. However, if you would like to explain your financial situation in terms of its effects on your growth and development, meaning something more personal and analytical, then go ahead!</p>
