I don’t know what to write my personal statement about. I’m thinking about my experience running away for homecoming last year and how that shaped my character. My counselor told me to write somehing that will stick in the readers’ minds. Would a smart kid running away stick in your mind? ;)

When your counselor said your essay should stick, she meant it should be personal, revealing, and written well. She didn’t mean you should get schticky and use a topic that grabs attention.

Personally, unless there were very valid family reasons for running away, it seems like a poor topic for an essay. What does it say about you that would benefit a college campus?

John09 - Great idea. Just pay someone to write your personal statement. Just throw ethics out the window.
