<p>What work of art, film, book, sculpture, or architecture has influenced you the most and why?</p>
<p>Has anyone had to answer this one? What ideas do you have? I have many but not many that I feel strongly about.</p>
<p>a film or a book is easiest because they contain the most information to respond to (i have to write a million of these since i’m applying to film schools). just pick one of the “many” that you feel you can talk about the longest, because that means you have the most ideas/insights about how it influenced you</p>
<p>haha i would have leaned towards NOT picking book or film because i thought all of those had more chance to be interpreted with personal bias. For example, let’s say I like “Sound of Music” (which actually I do…). I would guess that someone reading this essay might have their own opinions about Sound of Music and would form an immediate impression of me based on their opinions as a result. So I was leaning away from book or film. But you raise some very valid points if later I am asked about my essay choice.</p>
<p>I chose a photograph and the result was a very successful essay. I was already going to write about the photograph, though…I don’t think it’s very easy to find one to fit the prompt and then write about it</p>
