Well, the obvious examples would be famous historical figures that you’re familiar with, like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin or FDR, if you’re American. The examples don’t even have to be about politicians. You can talk about how Thomas Edison invented the light bulb or Graham Belll invented to telephone to make lives in their communities easier. For the lit example, the first thing that comes to my mind is Friedrich Nietzsche’s book Thus Spoke Zarathrustra in which he talked about the concept of Ubermensch. You can read the analysis on sparknotes. No need to actually read the overly complicated things. Or if you’re into mystery, like me, you can take about a case in which your favourite detective solves some thing that has to do with the country’s security, like The Final Problem or His Last Bow.
