Does Questioning authority always lead to bad consequences? Questioning the authorities’ decisions is very crucial. Criticism is vital to create a democratic community and/or nation that give people the window to voice their opinion. The American Revolution is one of the best examples to prove that authorities should be questioned, if they were unrighteous. Another prodigious example that shows that authority sometimes should be defied is Gandhi’s protest against the British colonization in India. A third example is John’s brave stand up against his boss, because he refused to submit to John’s opinion.
The American Revolution is the most influential revolution ever made. The courageous American people sought to free their beloved US from the British belligerent rule, and they never showed disinterest until their dream became a reality. The US now is the world’s biggest supporter for democracy.

After WW1 ended, with over 6 million Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in order to receive independence from the British colonization. Eventually after two decades of unbearable torcher, The Indians were given a federal government. The government was Indian, but it insisted to arrest all nationalist leaders like Gandhi. Raged by these acts, The Indian rebels revolted against their fake Indian government and demanded Gandhi’s release. After Gandhi’s release, settlements were made, and the rebellious Indians gained a fully independent India in 1947.

Defying authority is usually seen as an act of foolishness or idiocy. I on the other hand believe that such act can only be done by well educated, confident, and intellectual individuals to sustain a strong case against the upper hand of authority. By giving these examples I’ve proven that defying authority might result in the best stand ups in history, not only that but it can lead to the avoidance of catastrophes that could have happened like the one in John’s company.
