<p>is it worth mentioning in my Why Trinity Arts & Sciences essay that I went to Duke TIP in the summer of 8th-9th grade to add a personal feel to it?</p>
<p>Or do I need to be more concerned about how it can help me? As of right now, I do that in the second paragraph but I feel that the Duke TIP thing really helped me gather a good infeluence from the university and introduced me truly to the college life.</p>

<p>If you feel that your experience during Duke TIP has greatly influenced your choice in applying to Duke, then definitely mention it in your Why Duke essay. You can talk about how spending on time on the campus and interacting with Duke staff/faculty/students impacted or inspired you.</p>
<p>I mentioned TiP, why not? I definitely feel that having the experience is a big advantage(essay wise). I was able to add a personal touch and give very specific examples.</p>
