Would it be strange at all if my Yale essay is about my obsession with the supernatural and my use of the weegie board?

It wouldn’t be if you spelt Ouija correctly.

^^I was going to say that. Word for word. Wow…

^^ me too it’s.been.real and behindthelens 0_o

People do spell it weegie though

Except here arises the problem

They don’t.

Search “weegie board” on google. This is what you’re presented with:
http://cmsof.files.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2008/05/gifts-7.jpg

So…no. Try again?

People spell many things incorrectly…

First of all, admit it, it’s Ouija board. Second, writing about your “obsession” might not be something you want the adcoms to see, especially if it’s about the supernatural. They might think you’re weird, no offense, I’m not thinking that, but the way you write your essay you have to be careful.

the thing is, i’ve use a weegie/Ouija board at the shore on two separate nights and I have spoken with spirits. Did I just drink too much those nights?

As a result, I started to admire the supernatural

It’s ouija as everyone said already.

And yes, to most of society, you do seem crazy and adcoms probably will think you’re crazy. THink of something less radical.

I would say you are, no offense. =) But, if that’s how you roll, I am no one to take away that experience from you, by all means, speak with all the spirits you want! The thing is, for a college essay, they usually want to see a more concrete obsession, if you know what I mean. Something that portrays you in a good light, and shows that you are ready for college academically and socially. I don’t know if the experience you describe would work for that.

the thing is the supplement essay asks for something not found anywhere else on your application

The first few things I thought of were sports, this, and poker. I may not have been thinking enough though because there might be something else worth writing about

^On that note, there is. Write about sports if that came first. I’m trying to say this in the best way possible, but just don’t write about Ouija boards, just don’t.

You are such a bad ■■■■■. Go away. Use your “Spiritualness” and go on the Brown threads or something.

And you’re still wrong:
Ouija
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about spiritualist use of the ouija board. For other uses, see Ouija (disambiguation).
“Weegee board” redirects here. For other uses of the name “Weegee”, see Weegee (disambiguation).

It can be spelled WEEGEE not WEEGIE

And if you were really tuned in to your Ouija board, you would have anticipated this response, and decided to write your essay on something else like your passion for clam farts. If you are unsure of this reference, please seach “clam fart”. Well worth your time.

The clam fart author eventually reveals that (s)he was admitted to Yale…

I don’t doubt you spoke with spirits. But you should know they’re not the kind you want to mess around with if you value your well-being. If you’re Jewish, as your name suggests, you might want to read the Torah to see what Yahweh says about consulting spirits instead of Him.

And yeah, since murderers sometimes say voices in their head told them to commit the crime, you’d be better off writing about something else. No college wants a student who listens to scary voices.

^^I seriously doubt that this poster is Jewish. In prior posts, he has said that he is Jewish, Asian, or Caucasian. He has also suggested he may take a shot at applying as a URM because he looks Hispanic. Most recently, he says he’s an Asian/Caucasian Jew. He is a ■■■■■.

Did anyone else notice that whoever said “It wouldn’t be if you spelt Ouija correctly” spelled “spelled” wrong?

LOL

^ “Spelt” is British English. It is correct…

JRS - You were wrong. LOL.
